Sprites

Working on a 2D mobile game, I really missed a handy tool for packing sprites. Existing solutions at that time did not suit me with flexibility and their functionality. Since the development of such a tool could save a lot of time while working on a game, I decided to develop Sprites — a powerful and convenient tool that could be useful for developers of 2D games and websites.

Evolution of the idea

Because there is a huge number of game and graphics engines, each with its own atlas format, and given that the developer could use its own engine, Sprites enables user to create custom templates for exporting atlases. In order to give user freedom, templates could be created using the power of the Python programming language.

Sprites has functionality for creating and editing sprite animations, generating sprite fonts, and editing simple scenes.
